Coaches Report – Rnd 14 – Tweed Heads 25/06/2009

You talk about inches winning games and it was prevalent in this weeks match. A Tom Hewitt bust only to be brought down inches from the line, Karls try, Dallas try the ball that was spilt from the bomb that tested Tommy all things are inches inside our game we need to get right.

Tweed who now becomes the giant killers of the competition beating both top teams in consecutive weeks are on a roll. With the match played over 80 minutes, which saw four seasons from torrentail rain to sun and rainbows, it was a match that we should have won again… This is a patch of footy that we need to play our way out of. The past 3 weeks have been somewhat disappointing not to say the least. BUT we need to take this in context with the season –  we have had three losses and still hold first equal spot, lets call it second (where the pressure of the pursuing sides drops a little). We are not playing the footy which put us in this position, you can see glimpses of this but not in a full 80 min period or even close.  We are not looking for excuses but we need to find the form which all of central Queensland have come to expect.

Sunday afternoon is when we can get the team on track again; Browne Park is the place to be to watch Redcliffe Dolphins vs. Central Queensland Comets
