Stingers too strong for young Comets 14/03/2010

THE Stanwell Power Station Central Comets have been overpowered by a physically stronger Townsville Stingers side in the under 18s Meninga Cup over the weekend.

Despite two tries from young Comets centre Kurt Mann, the Stingers ran out eventual winners 32-14 on Saturday afternoon at Rockhampton’s Browne Park.

In the earlier under 16 Cyril Connell Cup match, the Stingers were also too strong for the Comets with a convincing 24-4 win.
